Water
There are many opportunities to enjoy the water and do outdoor activities in and around Bad Ischl. Lake Wolfgang, which is just a short drive away, offers many water sports such as swimming, diving, sailing and surfing. On the shores of the lake there are also many beaches and lawns for sunbathing and relaxing. Lake Traunsee is also a popular place for swimming and diving. There are also many rivers in the Bad Ischl area that are ideal for whitewater rafting and kayaking.

In the morning there is usually a light easterly wind. In the afternoon from 1 p.m. the westerly wind comes.

Bürglstein: Few places but great location...
Fürberg: Natural state, beautiful dreamy bays towards Falkensteinwand along the lake
Traunsee / Traun:
Surfing in the Traun - top hotspot in the Salzkammergut for wave surfers.

Rindbach bathing area is right next to it.

Vorderer and Hinterer Langbathsee are very beautiful lakes where you can easily spend the whole day. There is a snack bar at the parking lot.

The public outdoor pool has a main and a non-swimmer area. There is also a children's pool for the children. A slide and a diving tower.

On very hot days, the Traun offers the ideal way to cool off.
