One of the most popular mountain bike routes is the Dachsteinrunde, a 170-kilometer route that leads through breathtaking landscapes and past crystal-clear lakes.

Villa Traun -Eisenau - Grottensee - Wolfgangsee round
This mountain bike tour is a demanding tour. Starting from Bad Ischl, the old Wolfgangsee road leads to Schwarzensee with a short, steep climb. Then slight inclines towards Eisenau. The descent to Mondsee is only for the experienced, as it is steep, gravel path and washed out. Then up again to descend over the Grottensee to Wolfgangsee. Finally, it's easy to go to Bad Ischl
Villa Traun -Obertraun round
This easy route takes you along the East Cycle Path to Obertraun and offers a beautiful view of Hallstatt. We do not recommend the way back via Hallstatt by road. Far too narrow, no cycle path and lots of cars and coaches. On the way there you can take a break and eat well at Seeraunzen.

From Attersee for the route via Unterrach to Mondsee and then to Wolfgangsee to St. Gilgen and on the old railway embankment towards Bad Ischl.
